A heartfelt thank you from the Galley team

Dear Galley friends and family,

Five years ago we started Galley to make it easier and more convenient to eat a healthy, well-balanced meal without the hassle of cooking.

For the past 7 months since our acquisition by sweetgreen, our team has worked hand in hand with sweetgreen to develop a dinner service that utilizes the delivery and logistics structure that we have mastered here at Galley with the incredible food ethos and brand sweetgreen has developed over the past 12 years.

We have now come to the final phase of the acquisition; we will be permanently closing the Galley business to make way for an exciting new sweetgreen dinner delivery service that will be launching in the DC market soon. The last dinner delivery by Galley will be on Friday, February 28th.

Closing the Galley brand was a bittersweet decision for our team, but we are so excited to introduce you to all that sweetgreen has to offer. We hope to continue providing a service for you and your family under the sweetgreen name. In the coming months, we plan to launch a dinner business that combines all that you loved about Galley with the vast supply chain network and culinary minds that already exist at sweetgreen.

If you have a gift card, you have until February 28th to use it. If you are unable to use it by that date, please reach out to us at support@galleyfoods.com and we will grant you sweetgreen credit for any unused gift card balance.

We know many of you have already been introduced to sweetgreen, but for those of you who have not, we are so excited to welcome you to the brand. If you don’t have a sweetgreen account yet, be on the lookout for emails from sweetgreen welcoming you to the family as well as an exclusive offer for new customers.

FAQs

When is the last day I can order via the Galley website or app?

Our last day of service will be Friday, February 28, 2020.

What if I have a Galley gift card or credits?

You will have until February 28, 2020 to use them. If you are unable to use your gift card before that date, please reach out to support@galleyfoods.com and our team will issue a sweetgreen credit for any unused gift card balance.

Can I use my Galley gift card at sweetgreen?

Galley gift cards can only be used on Galley orders at galleyfoods.com or via the Galley iOS app until February 28, 2020. After this date, you can request a sweetgreen credit for any unused Galley gift card balance.

What will happen to my Galley + membership?

Your Galley+ membership will not renew after March 1, 2020. All charges beyond that date will end.

What changes can I expect during as the closure date nears?

We'll be operating Galley as normal until February 28th. Look for some of your favorite Galley meals to pop up on our menu in February!

Will you still offer catering?

We will continue to offer catering services under sweetgreen after February 28th. To learn more, visit our catering page.

How do we reach out to Galley customer service after February 28, 2020?

What new dinner service will be offered by sweetgreen?

Sweetgreen is piloting a dinner program in early spring of 2020 in the core DC area. Stay tuned for more updates as we build out the service. In the meantime, you can always visit your local sweetgreen restaurant. (View a list of sweetgreen locations.)

How do I set up an account and order from sweetgreen?

Feel free to download the sweetgreen mobile app (available on iOS and on Android). Once you’ve downloaded the app you’ll be prompted to set up an account before placing an order. You can also set up an account and place an order by visiting: order.sweetgreen.com.

What is a sweetgreen Outpost?

Outpost is a sweetgreen offering with free scheduled delivery of the full sweetgreen menu to specific locations in corporate offices, apartment buildings and retail spaces like your local fitness studio. Customers order their own customized meal via the sweetgreen app or website, to be delivered to the selected Outpost at a designated drop time. If you don’t have an Outpost in your office building and would like to request one, fill out this form.
